Description

Directed differentiation run as a service: a partner takes an iPSC line or progenitor population — yours or one we source — and drives it to a specified mature cell type under their established protocol, delivering either cryopreserved cells or, at the upper end, cells already formed into a 3D tissue. Curi Bio's Curi Engine is explicit about this workflow and publishes phase durations: CRISPR iPSC editing at 8-16 weeks, iPSC expansion and banking at 4-6 weeks, directed differentiation to myoblasts at 4-8 weeks, a typical 3D phenotyping study at 3-5 weeks, and screening at 4-12 weeks, offered under fee-for-service with fixed price and defined scope, dedicated-FTE, or hybrid cost-share engagement models, with a stated 'Your Cells, Our Platform' posture. eNUVIO offers customised assay development around its own devices including 3D muscle cultures and neural spheroids. Creative Biolabs and Creative Bioarray advertise comparable custom model development. The important commercial caveat is that these vendors sell datasets: whether any will contract to deliver the physical cells or tissue as the deliverable rather than a report is unconfirmed and is exactly the question our RFQ asks.

Why this is hard to buy today

The organisations with the best differentiation capability sell reports, not cells, so a buyer who wants the physical material has to negotiate an unusual deliverable rather than order a product.

Price evidence

No public pricing. Published Curi Engine phase durations are the anchor: directed differentiation to myoblasts 4-8 weeks, iPSC expansion/banking 4-6 weeks, CRISPR iPSC editing 8-16 weeks, 3D phenotyping study typically 3-5 weeks.

These are supplier list prices we located and recorded, not a quotation from Wetware World. Your price depends on quantity, specification and freight, and is only binding once issued in writing.

What you must specify

A quote cannot be produced without these. Anything you leave open, a supplier will assume — usually expensively.

#Parameter
01Starting material (customer line vs supplier line vs sourced by us)
02Target cell type and required purity percentage
03Total viable cells or tissue count required
04Whether genome editing is in scope
05Deliverable form: cryopreserved cells, live cells, or formed 3D tissue
06Characterisation package required at handover
07Engagement model (fixed-price fee-for-service, FTE, hybrid)
08IP ownership of protocol improvements

Quality documentation

Typically available with this item. What actually ships is confirmed on the quotation, per supplier.

  • Purity by marker expression (flow cytometry or immunostaining)
  • Viability
  • Sterility and mycoplasma
  • Differentiation characterisation report

Candidate suppliers

Organisations we have identified as capable. Listing does not imply a partnership, an endorsement, or that they have agreed to quote.

OrganisationBasis for inclusion
Curi Bio (Curi Engine services) Phased fee-for-service: CRISPR iPSC editing 8-16 wk, iPSC expansion/banking 4-6 wk, directed differentiation 4-8 wk, 3D phenotyping study typically 3-5 wk, screening 4-12 wk. Deliverable is a report; whether they will sell the physical tissue is unconfirmed.
eNUVIO (contract research) Service list explicitly includes '3D MUSCLE CULTURES // NEUROMUSCULAR JUNCTION MODELS (2D-3D)' and 'NEURAL SPHEROIDS'. States 'we do not offer off-the-shelf assays but rather develop customized assays'.
Cook MyoSite Contract services page lists muscle and adherent cell production, cryopreservation at any scale, procurement from specific donor populations, custom media, and phase-appropriate GMP manufacturing; 3,470 sq ft ISO 7 / ISO 5 cleanroom. No public pricing.
Creative Biolabs Advertises Muscle-On-A-Chip Model Development Service providing 'customized, in vitro 3D skeletal muscle models', will use patient cells or CRISPR-engineer mutations, and will tailor device design and culture protocols including mechanical stimulation. Execution quality against a force spec is unproven.
