The more of this form you can complete, the fewer rounds of questions a supplier needs before quoting. Anything you cannot answer yet, leave blank and say so — an incomplete specification is still worth sending.

01 What you need
Write it the way you would say it to a colleague.
Paste from a protocol or a grant if that is easier. Attach files by replying to the confirmation email.
02 Quantity, format and acceptance
This is the single field that most changes what a supplier will quote. If you do not have one yet, say what you plan to measure.
Quality documentation required with the shipment
03 Context
Used to route the request, not to set the price. Suppliers quote independently.
